Exams will be given every two to three weeks.   Tests will be based on class instruction, handouts, homework assignments, and applications of skills learned.      This year, math test day is Tuesday.

Tests will be cumulative.   Every exam will tests all skills taught from the beginning of the semester, focusing on skills learned most recently.

If you are absent on the day of a test, you must bring in an absence note the next day stating that your parent/guardian knows you missed a test and be ready to take the test.

  •  Make-ups are given during students' free period.

Quizzes can be given at any time, with or without notice.

There are no make-ups for quizzes.

Homework:

  • It is essential that you practice the skills learned in class.   As such, homework will be assigned and collected daily.
  • Homework must be completed on carbon paper OR you must make a photocopy.
  • You will keep the original, and hand the copy in to me.   Save the originals – if there is a clerical error, they are your ONLY proof that you completed the assignment.
  • In your homework assignments, make sure to copy the questions and any diagrams.   Show all work required to solve each problem!
  • All homework must have the following information in the heading:

Your name                                                                     Homework #

Class code and section                                   Assignment

 Date

  • If you miss an assignment, it is your responsibility to check the website and make up the work for the next day you attend school.
  • Everyone will put homework on the side board once a week.   Row 1 puts up homework every Monday, row 2 every Tuesday, row 3 on Wednesdays, row 4 on Thursdays, and row 5 on Fridays.    If you are to put homework on the board, arrive to class early so that you can finish in a timely manner.
  • When putting homework on the board, be sure to include all diagrams and pertinent information.   If you had trouble with your assigned problem, trade with another student OR write the question on the front board so that we may work it out together.
  • Make corrections to your homework on the original (your copy) so that you can use them as a study aid.

Class Routines:

Arrive to class on time and prepared!    On time means that when the bell rings, you are in your seat, already working on the do now assignment.   If you are out of your seat when the bell rings, you are late.

If your row is putting up homework, please arrive early to class to complete this as quickly as possible.
